Residents Lounge

Here at The Rothay Garth Bed and Breakfast we have a large, comfortable lounge for you to relax in with stunning views of the Ambleside fells, a choice of daily papers, a selection of local interest books and magazines or, if you prefer, you can simply doze off in front of our lovely open fire!

Drinks Service

For those who may require something of substance after a hard days walking on the Lake District fells, or a well deserved pre-dinner drink to start your evening we offer a resident's drinks service between 2pm - 8.30pm.

Garden

The Rothay Garth Bed and Breakfast has a beautiful landscaped garden with seating areas from which you can enjoy the Ambleside mountain scenery, or a leisurely drink.

Drying and Boot Room

After a great day out on the Ambleside fells you don't need to worry if you got a bit wet or muddy - we've got a new drying and boot room where we can store all your walking items until you're ready to head out on the fells again!!

Snacks and Drinks

Served from 1:30pm until 5:30pm we offer a menu serving up sandwiches with a lovely salad garnish and crisps. For those walkers planning a long day on the Lake District fells we will happily fill your flasks with hot or cold drinks, and we offer a fell walkers packed lunch to keep you going until tea time!
